Happy Spring to those in the South

We need to start a new narrative about successful careers in law with without adrenal fatigue.

What if we were taught that having time, money and freedom could be normal?

We’ve been programmed to believe that we must work our asses off, that nothing worth having comes easy.

I understand that a lot of people do not have as many choices as you do. But if you’re reading this, I know you have a ton of choices open to you.

You have already walked a long path if you got through a law degree and bar exams and became a lawyer. You beat the odds.

I also don’t believe it’s an accident you became a lawyer.

I believe people are called to the law. And those that decide it’s not their calling, tend to leave the law pretty early.

But the rest of us know there is something here for us to do.

People to help.

Even if there are many days we want to run screaming from the law, there is something in the promise of justice, of balance, of harmony and equitable treatment that calls us.

So you’re not done.

But you need to find a way to practise law and feel free.

You do not have to choose happiness and fulfilment OR a legal career.

You do not have to choose to have a life or a legal career.

You can be happy, and wealthy and free and live your passion and make a positive impact in the world.

We have been programmed to believe you get time or money. It’s just a belief and in all my work we look at the beliefs that limit us and choose new ones.

You do not have to choose between living up to your definition of success OR spending time with the people you love

I believe it’s time we became examples of having it all on our terms.

I meet soul-led lawyers every day and it expands my belief of how many soul aligned epic lawyers there are on this planet doing incredible work! I'm now seeking the lawyers who are practising law consciously, leading balanced lives AND making good money. It can be done people! I'm gathering stories so we can all learn.

There is a great awakening happening, and some of it relates to our relationship with money. More about that in the Audio I can send you - which I explain below.

A lot of research I'm doing is in the coaching business and you know some life coaches are making a LOT of money right now. Like R10k, $20k to $100k per month...That translates as roughly, R150 000, R300 000 and R1.5m per month for my South Africans. Lawyers are providing services that are as valuable as those of life coaches - particularly those who provide not only the legal service but also help their clients find a way forward in their lives, and help the client transform through the conflict process so that they don't go creating another similar issue in the near future. Yet SO many lawyers I speak to struggle financially. They work so damned hard for their salary.

You can serve your clients in radical ways that alter their lives and businesses.

You deserve to be paid well for what you bring.

But if you're like most of us, you will have to start healing your relationship with money and time. That is what I'm focusing on now, so I can help lawyers better.
